THIRD QUARTER Current Events topic: War
Find a war related current events article. It may be a current event about a war currently going on in our world or it could be a current event related to a past war (an interview of a WW II veteran or someone who fought in the Korean War, etc). There's even a current "Civil War News" website that keeps people updated about various places that the Civil War took place. Click here to view the RUBRIC.
Fourth Quarter Current Events Topic: What is happening in the state you are studying that is newsworthy for 5th graders in Hawaii?
As you choose your current event, be sure to use the current events rubric.
